Intimacy
a hụrụ m gị n'anya, I see you and I love you. To be seen, to be valued, yearned and adored - to be loved. Creating a safe space to explore and break down the fragility of intimacy, living in a world where vulnerability is weak, community is lost and individuality has taken centre stage.
A space to encapsulate a love that cradled us, that sustained our mothers, that encouraged our fathers. I see you and I love you, I need nothing more in the moment, your presence, your aura, you are just enough.

INSPIRATION
Black women, Black love, Black bodies
relates intimate depictions of Black bodies interacting in both public and private spaces. The resulting images are formally rigorous in terms of composition—every detail is meticulous and motivated—as well as suggestive of Lawson’s personal connection with those she photographs. the way she intimately captures black bodies is a major reference to be emulated in this project.
